Choreographed by Chalvar Monteiro\, a former member of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater\, the world premiere work is a nod to the music\, life and impact of the “Father of Rock and Roll” Chuck Berry. \n\nCelebrating his birth 100 years ago and the music that transformed our nation\, Chalvar Monteiro and Ailey II Artistic Director Francesca Harper take St. Louis on a journey with Ailey II dancers as our storytellers. \n\nIn addition to the vibrant BERRY DREAMIN\, audiences will be captivated by a program of breathtaking works—each one showcasing Ailey II’s unmatched artistry\, powerful technique\, and boundless energy.\n\nAiley II moves audiences to their feet in cities around the world.
