DESCRIPTION:This free workshop will provide an overview of the Veterinary Medical College Application Service (VMCAS)\, the centralized application system used by most veterinary schools in the US\, and several other international programs. This session will explain how VMCAS works and helpful tips when navigating the portal. Topics will include application timeline\, how to enter and organize coursework and experiences\, writing personal statements and essays\, how to request letter of recommendations\, and understanding school-specific requirements within the VMCAS portal. This workshop will also address common mistakes and offer support to students throughout the application cycle. We will also discuss different careers found in the field for those who do not intend to apply to veterinary school.
