SUMMARY:Teacher Workshop—Roman Art in the Time of Trajan
DESCRIPTION:In this teacher workshop\, educators will tour Ancient Splendor: Roman Art in the Time of Trajan with Hannah Segrave\, associate curator of European art to 1800\, to learn how the emperor Trajan invested in art and architecture to shape civic life at the height of the Roman Empire. Following the tour\, teachers will learn about traditional mosaic techniques and complete a take-home mosaic project. Educators will leave the workshop equipped with ideas for how to connect the exhibition to classroom curriculum. \nLunch will be provided. Registration is required\, and space is limited.
