DESCRIPTION:St. Louis Trail Running Club\n5-6 mile trail run. There will be hills. Runners also have option to run 2-3 miles on another trail (dogwood trail). Pace:9-14 min per mile. You will probably encounter a few horses on the trail. If encountering horses please stop running\, move to side of trail and stop or walk. Ask horse rider if you can pass safely. Horses can be nervous and get spooked when seeing runners.\n\nForest 44 is in west St. Louis County. To reach the area take Highway 141 south from I-44 to Meramec Station Road\, which is the first stoplight. Turn right (west) and drive 0.9 mile to Hillsboro Road. Turn left and go 0.4 mile to the trail parking lot on the right. The 998-acre area borders I-44 for three miles.
