DESCRIPTION:As part of our America 250 celebration\, this talk will be on the Bill of Rights. This will be a summary of the first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution\, covering what they encompass\, how and why they were created\, and their pros and cons.\n\nAbout the Presenter:\n\nMichael (Mike) Fagan served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA) for the Eastern District of Missouri for twenty-five years\, until February 2008\, and was called back as a Special AUSA in 2019 and 2020 to advise on an international complex criminal case. He now consults on domestic and transnational criminal law and procedure\, anti-money laundering\, counterterrorism\, intelligence\, and emergency planning issues. Following 2008\, Mike served as Counsel and Policy\, Risk\, and Compliance Strategist for the St. Louis Fusion Center\, a federally funded state and local anti-terrorism effort. Additionally\, as an Adjunct Professor\, he teaches upper-level and graduate law students courses in International Money Laundering\, Corruption\, and Terrorism at Washington University School of Law\, as well as serving as a Constitutional Law instructor for the St. Louis County and Municipal Police Academy.\n\nPresented in partnership with the St. Charles County Historical Society\, whose mission is to collect\, preserve\, and share the history and genealogy of St. Charles County for future generations.\n\nhttps://www.scchs.org/
