SUMMARY:Brown Horse
DESCRIPTION:Tickets for this event\, if purchased with cash at Blueberry Hill\, are discounted to face value – without extra ticket fees. \n\n\n\nBrown Horse make twangy and thoughtful indie rock\, delicately arranged\, but unafraid of building a yowling wall of guitars\, accordion\, banjo and pedal steel. Distorted\, teary-eyed and country-tinged\, this is music for long lonely drives and late\, late nights in strange places. After signing with legendary label Loose Music (The Felice Brothers\, Hurray for the Riff Raff\, Courtney Marie Andrews)\, their debut album\, Reservoir\, was released in January 2024 to wide critical acclaim. The band followed the release with a multi-month international tour and a packed festival season. \n\n\n\nBrown Horse released their second album\, ‘All The Right Weaknesses’\, on April 4th 2025 on Loose Music. The group returned to Sickroom Studios in Norfolk following a multi-month European tour. As a whole\, ‘All the Right Weaknesses’ touches on what being a band is all about. The tone of ‘Reservoir’ was described as an “unvarnished sound”. Brown Horse record quickly\, and mostly with live\, full-band takes. This creates moments of unpredictability and excitement that feel candid and singular. The thrill of listening to ‘All the Right Weaknesses’ is about this snapshot of a moment in time with six musicians playing together at once.
