SUMMARY:Visit the Fenton Historical Museum - 10am start
DESCRIPTION:St. Louis Historic Sites History Meetup\nLast went: 2023\nWill go again: 2033\nCost: $5 donation requested.\n\nLet's head southwest and visit the Fenton Historical Society Museum. It is small so they have asked us to stagger when we arrive.\nYou can also come early (or stay late) and go on a self-guided walking tour - they have brochures in the museum and the walking tour is around the museum area.\n\n"The Fenton History Museum was created out of the Fenton Historical Society and is located at One Church Street in the 1906 Swantner House\, one of the oldest houses remaining in Fenton. The home was built by Frank M. Swantner\, half owner of Swantner & Young\, a sprawling commercial enterprise consisting of a mercantile store\, hotel\, saloon\, dining room and livery stable and located across the street prior to being torn down in 1959. Being slated for demolition\, the Fenton Historical Society purchased the Swantner House from the City of Fenton in 1995." from https://www.fentonhistory.com/museum
