St. Charles County Youth Orchestra 30th Anniversary Concert

The St. Charles County Youth Orchestra (SCCYO) is proud to announce its highly anticipated 30th Anniversary Concert on May 17th, celebrating three decades of musical excellence and community involvement. This concert marks a significant milestone for the orchestra, which brings together talented students from elementary through high school, united by their passion for music and their commitment to artistic growth. The anniversary event will feature three distinguished ensembles, each under the expert guidance of accomplished conductors Leanna Conrad, Daniel Mieloch, and Dr. David Wacyk. Their leadership promises an inspiring and well-rounded program that showcases the diverse abilities and dedication of the young musicians. The concert will include performances by the 2026 SCCYO Concerto Competition winners. Elijah Gibson, an exceptional clarinetist, will perform Carl Maria von Weber’s Clarinet Concerto No. 2, a virtuosic piece that will allow him to demonstrate both technical mastery and expressive depth. Additionally, John Hinners will take the stage to perform Georg Eduard Goltermann’s Concerto No. 4 for cello, a beloved work that highlights the instrument's lyrical and dramatic capabilities. These solo performances are sure to captivate audiences and stand as a testament to the outstanding talent nurtured within the SCCYO. The concert will be held at the Blanche M.
