Trauma, Masculinity, and Healing: A Closer Look at Boyhood

Join the School of Social Work in this interactive session “Trauma, Masculinity, and Healing: A Closer Look at Boyhood”. This workshop explores how early experiences of boyhood shape emotional development, identity, and relational patterns across the lifespan. Drawing on trauma-informed and developmental frameworks, the session examines how boys often learn to disconnect from vulnerability as a form of adaptation. Participants will gain insight into how these patterns show up in practice and learn strategies for engaging boys and men in ways that support emotional expression, connection, and healing.
