St. Louis Historic Sites History Meetup Weekend trip to Evansville, IN Evansville is the 3rd largest city in Indiana. The tri-state region, encompassing Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois, is situated on the Ohio River. It is about 2.5 hours from St. Louis. You can join the planned activities or do other things you find. Hotel info: I got a block of rooms at the Hyatt Place Downtown. We have a block of rooms. Cost is $129 per night. I have booked a room and with tax it comes to $150 a night. Friday: Maybe a short trip to Henderson, KY to see the John James Audubon museum or their riverwalk along the Ohio River. (15 minutes from Evansville).
