Spending much of his childhood in Nazi Germany, Eric Carle learned to live in a world marked by the absence of color and the gaping holes of loss. His love of art and nature eventually led him into the realm of children's books where he could project messages of hope out into the world.
In this program we will dive into the 1969 classic, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and see why it has sold over 50 million copies and been translated into 65 languages.
