Build Benches at Bus Stops!

St. Louis Urbanists There are over 4000 bus stops in St. Louis which don't have any seating. The St. Louis Urbanists are working to fix this by building DIY benches and deploying them at bus stops around the region. Over the last three years, we have deployed over 75 benches at local bus stops. And at our last event in May, we painted new 47 bench tops. Now it's time to actually put these benches at bus stops! On Saturday, June 20th, we'll be building the legs for these bench tops and going out into the street to install these at bus stops. We will need your help with both bench construction and deployment. No prior experience is needed. **Where: The event will be taking place at a private workshop we have access to in the Botanical Heights neighborhood. Once you RSVP, we will contact you with the exact address.** **Who:** Everybody is invited, though we are capping the attendees at 20 due to limited space. **When:** Sunday, June 20th, from 10:00 to 4:00pm. Feel free to leave early if you need to.
