Bosnian Immigrants in St. Louis Panel Discussion

This panel discussion will explore the experiences of Bosnian refugees who resettled in St. Louis following the Bosnian War and how they helped shape one of the largest and most vibrant Bosnian American communities in the United States. Panelists will share personal stories about becoming refugees, rebuilding their lives, and contributing to the cultural, economic, and civic life of our region. Featured speakers include: Akif Cogo, Bosnian American historian Patrick McCarthy, founder of the Bosnia Student Project Elvir Ahmetovic, Bosnian American educator and advocate Damir Husamovic, former president of the Bosnian Islamic Center of St. Louis
