Craft & Culture: "My Neighbor Totoro" Craft Night

Manga and Anime fans are invited to come make Soot Sprites, or Susuwatari ("wandering soot"). They are small, pitch-black, fuzzy spirits featured in Studio Ghibli's My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away. These golf-ball-sized creatures inhabit abandoned buildings and boiler rooms, often carrying coal or star-shaped sugar candy (konpeito) with long, thin limbs. They are known for being shy, industrious, and vanishing when not given work.
