Family Sunday—Echoes in Motion: Antiquity in Ballet

Family Sunday activities focus on a different, family-friendly theme each time. This Family Sunday highlights Visions of Antiquity, in Gallery 235 and Sidney S. and Sadie M. Cohen Gallery 234. Inspired by Black Ballerina, a photograph in the exhibition by Leroy Henderson, Riley Adams, as artistic coordinator and ambassador for Brown Girls Do Ballet (BGDB) will host a workshop and performance. Additionally, enjoy an opportunity to place yourself into the photograph and decorate the frame in this week’s Create Lab. Join a family friendly tour of the Visions of Antiquity exhibition to explore how representation, tradition, and belonging intersect within visual art and classical ballet with three local dancers.
